Westmont of Morgan Hill

Just two things. The food needs to improve. It tastes too much like cafeteria food, extremely bland. The mashed potatoes appear to be from a box. I ate there a few times and was not impressed. Activity participation is low. It would be nice if more residents engaged. The staff should help newcomers more with introductions to other residents. Other than that, the facility is very clean and the apartments/rooms are very nice. A decent amount of storage, more than some. The staff are responsive and very friendly.

Almost every single staff member that we've met at Westmont of Morgan Hill has been exceptional -- friendly, helpful, welcoming every single time we visit; and my loved one feels they, as well as other residents, have become her friends. Both managers have been very good and maintain good communication with the family. As far as the cleaning crew and other staff, they are all very friendly and good at their jobs. Also, the meals all have been very good quality and, for the most part, the food has been delicious. We would highly recommend this facility to others.

Some areas this community could work to improve on to better the experience would be the food, it is decent, not great but ok. Also they don't have a driver. They don't have any excursions off property. That is disappointing.

The Westmont of Morgan Hill community looks and feels like a nice quality resort...I know I like that about them and I am sure my loved one does as well. I have checked out many places for my Mom and Westmont is super...I am there at least every other day so I know what goes on...I believe they work hard to keep it all consistent.

It's a little pricey, but I love it here, good service, very friendly environment, staff couldn't be more helpful or accommodating.

We were put out of this facility 2 days after we moved my father in. The nurse who did the pre assessment did not do a good job as they found that my father had opened wounds (which I knew nothing about but his wife did) and removed him from the facility. I am an RN and find this to be poor assessment skills on their nurse to say he was eligible when he was not!!!

Our family is so grateful our Mom is at Westmont. She is happy and well cared for. It's an excellent facility and caregivers and staff are always responsive to anything we need.

Our family member is very comfortable at Westmont. Thanks to [name removed] and the staff and for finding an excellent care companion for our brother-in law. He has received attentive and compassionate care and has been more stable physically and mentally since he moved in. Thank you for all that you do.

Walk into this lovely and cheerful business of a three tier care facility, I saw a group of ladies visiting around the fire pit happily chatting with their friends. The dining room was almost full with a variety of people dining together. During the tour I saw everything was very clean, organized and the helpfulness of the staff was cheerful and polite. I would recommend a visit to the unique facility if you are looking for a change in your lifestyle or assisted living.

I liked Westmont of Morgan Hill because it was a little bit out in farm country. But they were building a huge shopping plaza down the road, which my loved one felt would have spoiled the view. It all just depends on what you're looking for.

We chose Westmont of Morgan Hill because it was closer to my work so I could visit often and it also had more of a hotel-resort like feel rather than an institutional clinical feel. The staff is very friendly, management may be a little overwhelmed so you do not see them as much but med techs and care staff are very helpful. The food tends to be pretty good, I know that they are having some issues keeping a cook and wait staff. I would recommend to others looking. It is expensive but we have been very happy with our experience.

I think Westmont did a wonderful job for our family and our loved one. They even provided direction for us and they were caring. The staff was very professional and really cared for our loved one. They take their responsibility for seriously.

The staff for the most part is very nice, however there seems to be a shortage of people working as many work multiple shifts and at night only one person working per floor to the best of my knowledge.l Food is often in shortage and dining room dirty. Servers often forget some parts of orders and waiting time for them to get your order can be long.

Unfortunately in our area there isn’t that many choices for memory care. I chose this facility because my Mother would be closer to us. All of the ladies are very nice and they treat my mom very well. The facility itself is very clean and nice. It is very pleasant to look at. The only drawback is that the facility is very expensive.

My husband is doing well in the Memory Care and the community is fine. They have activities for the residents. I join with him so he can try it out. The food is really good and I usually have dinner with him. They charge me $12 for a full course meal. That is a salad, the main course, and a dessert. I am also pleased with the caregivers in the Memory Care. They are very caring and positive.

First impression is clean, open and welcoming environment . Location is great! Recommend the following: 1. detailed explanations of cost breakdown of individual services from nursing assessment. 2. Variety of meal options 3. Variety of activities with different levels of participation Overall, the location, cleanliness , environment and people influenced the final decision.

Staff very welcoming, environment kept very clean. The first impression and feeling of Westmont was caring staff and pride in caring for residents.

This is a newer community and it looked nice. It felt like we were walking into a mountain lodge. The people we met were nice. This community was just a little farther away than what we were looking for.

Beautiful location and amenities. Most expensive of those we considered.
