I want give my gratitude to those who have worked tirelessly during this holiday and essentially have compromised their own health every day while finding ways to cope without jeopardizing those patients they treat as well as keeping their own families safe. Its very remarkable and a true reminder of how selfless certain people can be in order to see and make such an incredible sacrifice. My sister was strong enough to recognize that our mother needed more care than an aid or anything we could provide so she convinced me that this place was the right decision and I will also give her credit here for the initiative and careful consideration given the circumstances and only with the most profound love did I come to accept and admire her decision and dedication as well as offer my complete respect and recognition of those people who care for my mother every single day.... A Place for Mom has scored Vista on 5th with 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score based on 1 review in the last 2 years. Over all time, Vista on 5th has 3 reviews with an average "overall experience" of 3.7 out of 5.
I’ve had the opportunity to visit the Vista on 5th assisted living facility on several occasions . As an entertainer I was able to meet and interact with both the residents and staff. From special holidays to " let's welcome spring" events , there is a there is full schedule of interesting activities the residents really enjoy. Vista recently had a well deserved overdue Fall celebration for the staff . It was a chance to show recognition to the hard work they do but what was truly amazing was to see the longevity of the care givers there: there were a few 10 year anniversaries, but a lot of 20 , 30 even 40 years, to me that reflects a great culture and atmosphere and it shows when in Vista on 5th.

My mother moved to Vista in [date removed]. At the beginning, everything was fine. She was visually impaired and I visited and took her out 3-4 times a week since due to her blindness she could not go out on her own. I would clean her apartment and bring groceries. Then COVID-19. I was no longer able to care for her and neither did Vista under the circumstances! She developed bedsores and I never was informed even though I was her health care proxy. They had an outside company treat her and never informed me. The on-site doctor misdiagnosed her and when they took her to the hospital it was too late to save her. She had developed a sepsis infection. During her hospitalization all her jewelry and passport were stolen from her apartment! I filed a police report and contacted the State Department. The staff turnover rate is incredibly high. My mother passed in [date removed]. Unless you can keep a very close watch don’t trust your loved one to Vista. Don’t be fooled by appearances

A Place for Mom has scored Vista on 5th 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
