Lucky for us my mother was able to live at Village Green for the past two years, after the abrupt closing of Vashon Community Care, Vashon Island, WA. She often referred to it as her home. The CNA staff is dedicated, compassionate, and incredible. We would like to sincerely express our appreciation and gratitude for the excellent care my mother received from EVERYONE at Village Green. Village Green was definitely her home. Many thanks to [name removed](Director) and [name removed](Office Manager) for their guidance.... Read more

My grandmother has lived at the community for 5 years. She moved in as an independent resident and when we noticed she needed some additional assistance, she was able to receive Assistance in her current apartment. The staff are always so friendly and they greet us by our names when we come to visit. They always have a kind story to share about grandma. Village Green management is always there to talk with us. Grandma absolutely loves that she can wash her own clothes inside of her apartment. When touring other communities, most have a common washer/dryer. Village Green have washers and dryers in the apartments. The building is a little older, but it has a home like feeling and I truly believe it is the staff that make Village Green feel like home.

When Mom and I toured Daystar we were both drawn to the warmth of the community. Daystar has been vigilant about COVID protocols which I am ever thankful for. While lockdowns have been hard to get through, they have kept Mom safe. Daystar is an older facility that is in need of maintenance and updates. A few updates like new carpet and flooring have been made in my mom’s apartment. Chipped laminate countertops need updating. It would be great if they could upgrade the cable TV boxes. Mom enjoys her meals about 70% of the time. She wishes the quality was more consistent and that brown rice or rice pilaf could be served rather than white rice. She prefers not to eat fried food or breaded fish. She loves the salmon that is served, and all the ways that pasta is prepared. All the staff members are kind, caring people. We appreciate everything that they do to make Daystar a welcoming community.

This community is okay but it was to far away from my daughter and I wanted a more modern feeling environment. They gave a good tour with lots of information.
Looking beautiful and I was thinking about moving forward, hopefully may be able to consider in future. Circumstances are changing quickly

I like that I was able to move into this community. The staff have been very kind and caring to my needs. They allow me to cook for myself and they offer a variety of meals. I like that knowing that I can participate in the activities when possible. I would recommend this nice community for families for a good place to call home with a good value

It seemed like a clean community when touring. I noticed there was a lot more older residents. It was okay for me. There was a feel that I was not comfortable with and I was trying to get lower expenses. I liked the lady who gave me the tour, she was very nice. This was not the community for us.

Friendliest staff, unexpected extra attention. Very pleased with all aspects of this warm and welcoming "village". Extra effort seems to be generated at every opportunity. Most rooms have a lovely, private, sylvan setting. The gardens are exquisite and tended regularly.

I like the location near shopping and bus lines. However, I found the place a little depressing. I may have to give it another look later on.

My loved one was here before. It wasn't as clean, as the new place is. They sure did a lot more with socialization though. They are good about getting people to meet each other, and helping get conversations started. They call everyone by their first name and it's easier for people to get to know each other.

My parents are settled in now after a month and a half. There are a lot of activities for them to participate in. The food is good, the staff seem to be very friendly. My parents socialize with the other residents. I'm not worried about their well being anymore because I know they are in good hands.
