My dad loves The Waters of Edina and so far I would rate it 5 stars on everything. The move in was easily scheduled and accomplished. There was a regular sized elevator and a freight elevator that were available to use. The staff that I have dealt with have been very helpful and remember who I am when I visit. They helped with making my dad to feel very welcome, as have all of the residents. The meals have been great according to my dad. He's gluten intolerant and they have been very accommodating to that, as well as watching out for him and alerting him when he has ordered something with gluten. I would highly recommend The Waters of Edina on Colonial Way!... Read more

My mother is a resident of The Waters of Edina and her experience overall has been very good. Some of things I would comment on are: the dining room is a bit slow when they bring your food and they were not very clear in the beginning when we wanted to order half a sandwich and we were getting charged for a full sandwich. The Staff overall is very well trained with a few exceptions. The activity calendar is good. I wouldn't call it great. I wish they had more art activities, but I guess in the past that wasn't a big hit there for some reason. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Beautiful facility with some nice perks. Feels very snooty Edina, though. Have a "concierge" at front desk versus a "receptionist". Not worth the upcharge to be in Edina when better options were available more affordably.
Edina, the lobby was loud with the waterfall, the place was huge (I was even confused which way to go), rooms are gorgeous, very expensive. Memory care unit was really really nice.
I would recommend to other families. They have activities such as; card, movies, and outside entertainment. The food is okay.

The staff members are so sweet to our loved ones there, they really make them feel comfortable. Right when you walk in it just gives off a great energy and vibe. The food is fine there are no issues with the food, but the dining service is extremely slow at times and they make a ton of mistakes. They do have activities but we wish they just offered up more of a variety. In general we loved The Water of Edina.

Our family had an in person tour and we thought the Water of Edina was absolutely stunning, but seriously had the highest price ever. Even with it being very expensive, everything costed extra and there was not much offered to begin with.
I know these are strange and difficult times and facilities like the waters are scratching their heads trying to figure out how to handle it. BUT my poor sister and others in with her have been in lockdown for 3 months in their tiny rooms. Even their meals are brought to them in their tiny rooms with no company. She cant leave and we cant go in to see her. They will bring her outside to visit through a locked gate with an appt. She is virtually a prisoner and her crime is old age. She often asks me "what did l do to deserve this?" and l dont know what to tell her. The waters does not seem to have any kind of a plan. This is no way for people to spend the last years of their lives. Its cruelty, it borders on elder abuse. I must say the staff l do come in contact with are very nice and kind.

I would say that the staff have been extremely diligent in notifying the family about things. We have been very happy with it. We chose The Waters of Edina for its location.

This community seemed to offer some nice activities. They have speakers that come in. The person that took us on tour was nice. This community is clean, unfortunately the apartments are small.

A Place for Mom has scored The Waters of Edina 8.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
