My loved one has been happy so far. As of right now, we would recommend the facility. We picked this community, because of the affordability and it offered all the amenities we were looking for. The building is for sale so we are hoping nothing changes.

Response from The Reserve at North Dallas
June 15, 2023It’s our pleasure having your loved one as part of our community. We believe in treating our residents like family. Thank you for your feedback.
We were only there for a few months. Everyone seemed nice, but it is up to the resident to make the choice to go to dining room and to engage in activities since it is independent living. I do wish they were better at communication though. It was like once they received our initial payment, all bets were off and reply to emails were very slow.

December 20, 2022Thanks for leaving us this stellar review. You really made our day.
They have excellent staff. They immediately offered us a meal, and then we met with the Executive Director. The dining was very good. The grounds weren't as nice as another community.

December 6, 2022With all our options for care, there’s a lot to take in during a visit. Please stop by again. Thank you for your review, and let us know if we can help you in the future.
This was a very nice community. My loved one didn't care for the high-rise or city feel.

July 21, 2022Thanks for this review. Always feel free to share your experiences with us.
I appreciated working with The Reserve. They were very friendly and respectful in answering all the family's questions; however, they also got to know my loved one that would be in the community. This was the best value for the money that we could find. Some of the activities available include transportation religious services, bingo, entertainment, bible studies, puzzle clubs, poker, movies, library, art classes, and more for the residents to choose from. There is a total of 22 different clubs for the residents to join, if they would like. There is a shuttle to the Jewish Community Center Monday through Friday, this is a nice option for the residents who are of this faith. There is also shuttle on Sundays for the residents who go would like to go to church services. The independent side of the community provides two meals a day.

June 14, 2022Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re so proud that you trust us with the care of your loved one.
The staff are very friendly, and the activities so far have been great but we do wish they had a little bit more on the assisted living side. Sometimes at night when we try and call there is no one available at the front desk and sometimes when we call the nurses station no one is there either. The communication could be improved but it has been a very nice experience so far, and our loved one is thriving.

I would select this community again. I would advise that there is not a hot breakfast and there is a lunch or a dinner. The people are very friendly and helpful at this community. They have activities like Spanish classes, art classes, current events, we play games , poker, bingo and more for the residents to participate in. They also have transportation that will take you whenever you would like to go and they even offer rides to church. They also have weekly trips to the stores and regular outings to eat at local restaurants.

March 14, 2022Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. Our residents are our top priority, and we are so pleased you've had a great experience. Thanks again!
I'm very happy with my choice. I love the people. I feel comfortable here, and I like my suite. It's very clean and neat. The activities are wonderful. And the food is really good. The bistro is fabulous, and the food in the dining room is good, although they've cut back a teeny bit since I've been here, most likely due to inflation. I think all places are being affected by Covid and hiring challenges, here included. I know they're currently hiring a new manager. But the people are very friendly, and the staff we do have are great. It's a wonderful place to be.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have amazing people who live and work here, and we hope you continue to find our community to be a place of friendship and inspiration.
All of the staff members have gone above and beyond for the residents always being friendly and helpful. The facility is always clean and fresh and the activities are constantly going on, there is such a wide variety for the residents to participate in. We searched and interviewed for awhile and The Reserve has continued to just be wonderful.

December 23, 2021Thanks for the wonderful review! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you.
It was mainly independent living at The Reserve. They had assisted living, but it seemed just sort of tacked on. And that really wasn’t going to work as well for Dad. Plus, they don't offer memory care, which he might need later. We really wanted the option for that continuity if needed down the line.

Good community, didn't have a lot of services that we needed for my loved one.
[name removed] was very helpful and answered all my questions. She gave me a full tour, showing 6 apartments. She took time to really visit with me. I am impressed by a number of things about The Reserve. I especially like the option of having an assisted living apartment near an independent one. All of the people I met were friendly and welcoming, including the residents. The place is very clean and well-appointed. It is attractive to the eye. The various activity centers are easy to access.

It's been a good experience in the several months I've been here. It's not unusual for residents to have been here 10 years or so, and I think that's indicative that the services are appreciated. The people who have been here for several years seem to have a very positive viewpoint overall. The staff is great, but like every other place, they're short-staffed. They've had problems getting workers for the dining room and other services. Those that are working are excellent and hardworking. They just need more help. Long-term residents say there have been changes in the food. They used to serve steak and shrimp, and now it's more chicken and fish. But I understand it's a balancing act between offering services while still maintaining a budget. Residents who came from different communities say the food is much better than where they were before. The dining service staff are excellent. They work very efficiently and are very friendly. The dining manager is excellent. They seem to offer lots of activities - arts, crafts, games, bingo, bible studies, and they've started up excursions to places like Kroger and Target again. The trips that I've been on were well-managed and helpful. I think the program director does a wonderful job. The woman at the front desk is just gold. She's joyful, efficient, and professional. For the quality we receive, I think the cost is competitive. So far I'm satisfied with what I'm paying and what I'm getting.

Unfortunately, I regretted my decision by the second week after moving in. The bug and insect infestation is reason enough to stay away. Pay close attention to cleanliness during your tour and walk or drive through the gated parking area. Stop by to talk or visit residents strolling or sitting in front outside areas if you want to know what living here is like. Good luck with your search!

We moved our loved one in mid summer, and they had to quarantine her for just a few days for precaution. During those few days they forgot to bring her her meals, we had to keep reminding them. No one made sure she understood how to order the meals off the menu. For the next few months it felt like we were just paying for an apartment with food delivery service. She had falled and ended up going to the hospital, and we did not find out she went to the hospital until two days after the fact. The hospital was the one that notified us, not the community. When she initally came to the community they did not review the paperwork she filled out, so when she went to the hospital the community called the only number on the paper which was wrong and left a message. There was no follow ups after that to make sure our family was made aware of our loved one situation.

This community is a good value for your money. I believe they maintain high standards. My mom is very happy here. The pandemic has been handled very well. All the residents have already had their first round of vaccines. The staff encouraged residents to not go out and to wear masks. They have also started online activities to help the residents out. The residents are able to go to the dining room at planned times. The community did deliver the meals three times a day to the residents and there was no extra charge during the lock down.
