Sunrise of Buckhead

My experience there was good. I liked the people there. It is a nice place. The food there was not that great and could stand some improvement. The food at [facility name removed], where I am at now is a lot worse.

What our family likes the most about the Sunrise of Buckhead community is just how friendly and safe it is and based on that experience so far, we would recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

I am very pleased with Sunrise of Buckhead. Although, not staying myself or have a close relative there, I did have good friend who unfortunately wasn't able to enjoy most of the amenities offered. She did like the food and was able to make trip or two to the courtyard. A spoiled, demanding, but-so-old southern lady didn't like being there, but she was happy with being there. I'd rate 5 in all categories, from start to finish. we had compassionate, competent customer service - from entry to exit, with family with resident.

I think when you first start looking for an assisted living environment, you have expectations about how much care they will provide. For me, some of the gotcha's or surprises were around things like making sure my loved one gets to doctor appointments. They really prefer not to be involved in that at all, which turned out to be quite a surprise to me. With Covid in general and everybody being short-staffed, there have been some minor lapses in care, Foley catheter issues, etc. Sometimes it just feels like they lose focus a little bit. But I imagine it's difficult not having the staffing level that anybody needs right now.

Very nice community. It was very bright and pretty.

We really liked Sunrise of Buckhead. They were our top choice had our loved one decided to stay in the Atlanta area. The staff was nice, and it was just a friendly community.

[name removed] was very personable and helpful. I liked the location but the roaming animals is not for my mom.

The community has several chefs and different sizes of rooms. They respond quickly when it come to any issues you may have. Activities seem to be starting back up now. They tried hard to make everyone feel cheerful during the holidays. I was very impressed with the visiting Drs. and medical team. I would recommend this community to others.

The community said they could take good care of my mom and they could handle any issues. They did not. The sales process was very different than after we moved in. There was no compassion after my loved one passed away from the community. I would not recommend this community to others.

I would tell people not to go to Sunrise at Buckhead. The problem is with their care. Their care is done by the community like they have for years. I thought they were friendly and everything, but they aren't focus on the resident. I think some of the problem is that management has been there for years. The food is mediocre at best.

They have previously done a good job with keeping the community clean. The staff really seems to care about the residents and show genuine concern for them. We do feel that Sunrise At Buckhead is a good value for the price.

Sunrise @ Buckhead was fabulous. The staff was loving and caring for my father. Most of the employees were long time caregivers at this location. They were very informative in all aspects of my dad's care until the day he passed away. I can honestly say that he passed with some loving people. Even though we were not allowed to visit because of the Coronavirus his last days, the staff comforted me by keeping the family informed on a daily basis. Sunrise @ Buckhead is a very classy place to have your loved one if they are in a situation where they can't be alone. Thanks to all of the staff.

Truly caring staff

Excellent staff, wonderful residents, and beautiful building and grounds.

Sales director [name removed] was quite knowledgeable about the business. The facility is nice and neat but felt more like a nursing home. They don’t have a rehab gym presently and mother has been using one for the last month. I’d like her to be in a more interactive community right now.

[Removed] who is the sales rep for this Sunrise Community was very informative and helpful. My Mom needs to move from independent living to assisted living. I was impressed with the low staff turnover and the how organized the administration of this community. The building is older but pretty. Need to visit with my Mom but first impression was positive.

The staff I met during the tour were really nice. This community is beautiful and looks like an old victorian home. The grounds are well taken care of and they seem to have some nice common areas. This community did not seem as active as what we were looking for.

Enjoyed my visit with [Removed], who was very helpful. Apartments are lovely. Seems like a lively community. Bright and cheerful too. Men's group seemed very active and would be important for us. Nice people working there were helpful and seemed to know the community well.
