Solheim Senior Community

We are so thankful that we chose Solheim for our mother. The care and compassion they provide is amazing not only to mom, but the families too. Knowing that mom is being cared for as if she was a family member is such a blessing and gives us great peace of mind.

I've been familiar with Solheim for a number of years and they have been a great resource for us. I am incredibly impressed by how communicative, transparent, and welcoming their team is. I highly recommend Solheim to anyone in the Los Angeles area who is looking for a community where they can have trust and security that their parents will be well taken care of and provided for. This is something very important to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones and I think Solheim does a great job at building this trust.

Solheim is a great option for anyone looking for a community that they can trust for the care of their loved ones! The staff is exceptional at making our loved ones feel known, they plan a variety of engaging activities and they do a great job of making sure the facility and rooms are clean and comfortable. You can tell how they've figured out how to care for their residents over the 100 YEARS that they've been in business!

I have researched a number of senior living communities and I can safely say that I haven't been as impressed by any of them the way that I am by Solheim! What has made the biggest impression on me is the way that the staff has completely befriended my family there in a way that makes them feel loved and known. It was hard for them to make the decision to move, but the reception and welcome they received allowed my Grandfather to open up and enjoy this next stage of life! Thank you to the team at Solheim!

Solheim is one of the best senior living communities I've been to. I know for many it is not always easy moving into a senior care facility but the staff here are amazing and always do a great job at making us all feel so welcome. It is clean, comfortable, and a great place to visit. Solheim has become my benchmark for the kind of experience I want to have when I reach the stage of life of needing an extra bit of help.

My spouse suffered from early-onset dementia. We moved her to Solheim's Memory Care facility in August of 2021. She passed away in May of this year. Our overall impression of Solheim and the care provided there is very positive. The staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating. The staff always goes above and beyond to plan and engage events for the residents, a few of whom I've even joined while visiting. Overall, in my experience, Solheim is a place that takes client care seriously and puts residents first in both personal relationships and the way are constantly seeking to update and improve the things that matter most to the residents.

A member of our family with dementia has been a resident of Solheim for over two years and we could not be more pleased with the care she continues to receive. Solheim doesn't place their memory care residents in front of a TV set all day. Solheim provides her and other memory care residents with activities, social interaction, 24-hour professional care and access to health care with a staff of friendly, engaged professionals. They treat each of their residents as individuals with personal attention and care. Knowing that Solheim has been offering full senior services for a 100 years now and is backed by the Lutheran Church is very reassuring. It's not just a profit center connected to a senior facility. There are flashier physical places looking like a Ritz or Westin resort with fountains in the lobby etc., but we would rather have the money and time be spent on the care of the residents. And, most importantly, we trust everyone associated with Solheim. They have lived up to their

Every time I have visited Solheim, I've been incredibly impressed by the amazingly welcoming and inviting community they have built. Everyone is always warm and excited to see you, the staff knows each resident by name and stops to say hello, and the whole campus is beautifully decorated, gardened, and clean.

Solheim Senior Community is a loving, caring place. It was started 100 years old by Norwegian Lutheran's. And even has its own pretty chapel with Sunday services. One does not need to be religious to go there, but I think a faith based business nice.

Solheim Senior Living is a very nice facility and they have a lot to offer for the residents. The entrance fee was just too much for us and it is non starter. We did like that they offered all types of care here, that is nice in case your loved one ends up needing more services then they don't have to move.

Toured with [name removed] - lovely young lady, much loved by the residents. Very nice clean facility, good location. Other family members will tour in the next few days.

I went on a tour here and it seemed pleasant. The women [Removed] who did the tour was nice but she didn't even acknowledge the other residents. If you don't have any memory issues this will be a good fit. But the memory care here was so depressing and they had the residents behind locked doors. It had cream colored corridors with no pictures on the walls. It had a very antiseptic feel to the place. I would tell families to tour this community before making a decision.

Solheim provides what looks to be a complete and cheerful assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care facility. Otherwise, independent living looks too drab. There are no window views to speak of. The decor is ordinary. I wouldn't want to live here.

We like this community for my mom. My mom is going to be here for a short time period. We have been happy with the care here. The staff are attentive and helpful. The menu is good and we like that they had tried to help her participate in the activiites. This community is wonderful and we would recommend the good care for other families.

Incredible and genuine care and concern for each of the residents. They have a weekly meeting discussing the residents, so the support and knowledge of the staff is congruent and up-to-date. They are just very obviously committed to the best interests of their clients and it shows in their actions.
