The main reason we chose Ridge at Stratford was the "bang for the buck". The staff have been awesome as well! Would absolutely recommend this facility to others looking.

My dad loves Ridge at The Stratford. He is very involved in the daily work outs and plays Poker a couple of times a month. He has his hair and nails cut once a month, on-site. He enjoys Taco Tuesdays and says they are delicious. They have hearty, yummy meals and desserts daily. Such great care is given by the Ridge community. My dad has an outdoor area where he sits in the sun and reads, birds chirping. This community is friendly, truly loving and safe. Thank you to the entire team at the Ridge, I'm SO grateful!

Everyone is very friendly and know the residents names. They have a ton of activities and that's great for my mom, because she is very social. They have various shows from outside people, bingo, raffles, special theme days and birthday parties. the only thing that is a slight problem, is they are understaffed, do sometimes it takes them a while to respond.

We chose Avamere at Phoenix mainly because of the staff members, they seemed to be very friendly and caring and oriented towards the residents. The room sizes at the facility are super nice, we have the 2 bedroom and it is very spacious with lots of storage space. Overall, I would recommend Avamere to other families looking.

We chose Avamere at Phoenix because it was a happy medium, the facility was not too fancy but not dingy either. The staff are very nice people and the rooms here are beautiful. My mom says that they could maybe provide a better variety of activities. I would recommend to others looking.

What impressed me most when I first interviewed was the people, the staff were friendly and we were very pleased with their attitude and they were more than willing to help out with all the paperwork. It is expensive but they take great care of him. I would definitely recommend Avamere at Phoenix to others.

We like how this community was more intimate and not as large, we did not want our loved one to have to adjust to something huge.

Our tour at Avamere at Phoenix was good, but they were pushing more the money than the actual care of the person.
We really liked this community for our loved one there was just not as many amenities as the other communities.
I liked that they had private rooms and bathrooms. I also liked the interaction with other people, especially at meal times. I liked their security - employees knock on the door before they come in. Although there was one incident where a male employee came into my locked room at about midnight looking for a security token they told me I had lost. I told him to leave and send a female employee, and he did leave. In the morning I found the token they were looking for. Some of the food was microwaved, which I didn't care for. But the dessert was good. And I liked that if I didn't come down to a meal they would come and check on me. I enjoyed the exercise activities. Overall I felt I paid a little too much. I also felt I was the first Native American that had staid there. A lot of the people there were Anglo and non-minorities.

The people who led the tour were friendly, but this just wasn't the community for us. They have a care menu of every little thing that just added up to more and more money, to the point that it was ridiculous. And the facility didn't seem nearly as nice as the other places we looked at. There was just nobody around, and the building was a little bit older. It had kind of a haunted house feel.
Mom has been at The Stratford for a year now. They have done a great job of dealing with her "special" issues as a smoker. We toured several facilities and still feel this is one of the best available for the price. Mom feels she is in a fancy hotel/apt building - the decor and ambiance are very nice verging on elegant in mom's opinion. Our family members travel a lot and never worry about her well-being or care. They have a well rounded list of activities. Communication is very important.

We ended up picking this facility because the value of care for the price was great and my Mother would be close to other family members. When you first walk in, you notice how beautiful the community and that it has a great homey feel. The staff members are all attentive and give excellent care to my mom. It’s a new facility and they are improving every single day. Everything is what we anticipated and more. I would absolutely recommend this facility.

I toured The Stratford for my mother, and I thought they had a really great program, but I thought that my mother would be unhappy with the rooms. They seemed a little small to me, and I knew she wanted a room on the first floor. They unfortunately did not have any opening s for rooms on the first floor, so we continued our search.

A Place for Mom has scored Ridge at The Stratford 9.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
