Oakmont of Silver Creek

Oakmont of Silver Creek's incompetence and questionable healthcare practices led to an ER visit.

I was able to have a tour at Oakmont of SIlver Creek and I had a very good tour experience and would like to live there, but the price was just much higher.

This is an overall good facility. I have a loved one in Memory Care section. The care staff is compassionate and capable. It is a new facility and the overall administration na operations has yet to get settled. Onboarding could be smoother, many aspects of communication with the staff and administration was a discover as you go along.

The meals are OK. They never get meals correct there's always something missing or wrong when they bring the food. The place is very clean. That is not an issue. Staff is friendly but it doesn't seem like there is a lot of activities going on for the residence that are currently living there and maybe that's because the place is not full at this time. My mother-in-law wanted to get a bathtub installed in her unit but they told her no that it was against the rules but [community name removed] that's down the street has bathtubs installed in their two bedrooms, so not quite sure why she cannot have one installed she was going to pay for it, so it would be no money for them. Also, the water in the units are barely lukewarm, not hot enough to wash any dishes that need to be done in the apartment doesn't feel sanitary, The price they're paying for the wo unit apartment is about [fee removed] more than [community name removed] down the street seems like they should be getting a lot more for their money.

My loved one seems to like the food. They try to get him, to interact with the activities. I picked this community because I was impressed with the staff, and memory care unit. They could improve, their communication skills between the family and residents when issues come up.

This facility is an old age home with lousy food and poor maintenance and activities. The apartment was nice, but the A/C-heating was not stable. They had ants and roaches. There's a constant change in poor management. They run out of food because the Chef's budget is too tight. The Chef is never around for dinner and there are problems with having enough wait staff.

My folks have been living there a few months. Its new and clean and beautiful but they have constant staff turnover, the food is mediocre and some of the help is young and inexperienced. They are definitely nice people but they oversell their services. I don't know if its because they're not fully occupied, but many of the planned activities have only 1-2 participants and I can see how people could be lonely and bored there. Its also predominantly women residents. It's overpriced for what you get.

The facility is lovely. The staff from the janitorial staff to administration are all very kind and caring. Overall nothing but great, minus it is pricey.

This was a nice community but we just did not end up going with this community. It was brand new and it was a lot of nice things about it. This community was also very expensive it was just not the right fit for my loved one.

This is a beautiful building with very nice staff. It is having some new building issues at the time and they are still working through things. They have activities like bingo, music, seated travel where they watch movies about other places. They have movie nights also where they show movies but it tends to start a little late at night for the residents. They also have garden club, bible study, karaoke, arts and crafts and more. They sometimes have excursions out in the community but this happens rarely.

I chose Oakmont of Silver Creek because the facility is brand new and they have their own chef on site who cooks the meals. It has proven to bean exceptional place. I have 1100 square feet for a one bedroom and it is fantastic. The food here is absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

Brand new and a nice community. The downfall was the cost of the community for us.

Our hosts to show us around was a young gentleman name [name removed] and a marvelous young woman name [name removed] these good people more than made us feel welcome and when I say welcome like I was home and we want to tell you if you want something as beautiful as meaningful to your life that these people have to offer then you will find your home at OakMont of Silver Creek I could go on and on their amenities are too many to mention in this review take my word for it it is a great place and we intend to live and make the best of what they have to offer.
