My mother spent 3 years here. They were so good to her. She had memory problems and the caregivers were patient and very knowledgeable about mom's diagnosis of dementia. She had Vascular Dementia. Our doctor said it was a very unique case and she needs very good care. Light Heart communicated with me when mom's disease progressed worse and she was in good hands. I could sleep for the fist time in years after the first day I dropped her off. I recently visited the home again and had flashbacks of where mom spent years of her life and I was reminded of her great care. I recommend Light Heart to everyone I come in contact with.... I toured the facility. It was homey and I could tell the people that lived there were well taken care of. We have visited several ALF's in the area and this one didn't smell and the caregiver ratio is the best we found. We weren't able to place because mom got sick too fast. We had to put her on hospice and our home caregivers were less than adequate. Mom passed in a couple days. My biggest regret is not placing mom here earlier. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Hi, I'm [name removed]. Grandma wanted me to write this for her for her mother that stayed at Hollydale at Light Heart. Grandma said that Light Heart was such a blessing to her mother. [name removed] was kind, helpful and always took care of mom. They worked with her financially in some tough times and mom lived at Light Heart for 4 years until she was 99 years old. They always have taken care of mom and the other ladies in the house as well. They communicated so well with me.

We chose Light Heart Memory Care because my mom needed more care and they were able to provide that. It is also very close to my home and convenient. They do have a variety of room sizes to choose from, my mom was in a room that used to be a den and she shared it with a roommate and they had plenty of space. The best part about this community was the staff members got her up everyday and all the residents were always together interacting. They took great care of my mother here and we had a great experience.

Lovely home setting. Liked the comfortable feel of it. Like the ratio of caregiver to patients. And it's awesome they get healthy meals prepared there.

Don't think this is what we are looking for. Would like more space for privacy. Did like the facility having locked doors for entrance and exit. The resident was able to go outside safely.

A Place for Mom has scored Light Heart Memory Care - Clear Lake 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
