Upon walking into the Memory Care unit, I noticed the smell. It smelled so good that I was on a mission to find out what it was. I am so impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the laundry. I could not ask for better administrative communication and wanting to make the families transition smoother. [name removed] was wonderful with all of the moving in. The caregivers in Memory Care are Angels in disguise. I go in for a visit about 5 times per week. Because of my schedule, I go in at all times of the day. They are sweet, kind and gentle with the residents. [name removed] go out of their way to engage my husband in activities (as many as he will allow.) Those 3 people have helped with his contentment. I have a concern with all facilities with levels of care. My husband was invited to join MENSA in college, and while he has Dementia/Alzheimer's, he is high functioning. He needs to be in Memory Care, I just wish there was a level of activities between Assisted Care and Memory Care. [name removed] does a great job, but when he is willing to go, she has to stop what she's doing to accommodate him. I also hate having to sign in at the front desk only. I am recovering from an ankle fracture and it's just hard sometimes on me to visit sometimes. Other than that, I am 100% happy.

We chose Impressions because we had to get him out of his old facility. The social worker thought that this would be the best fit for him with Alzheimer's. He is in a double room and his section has a door going outside and a door to the bathroom, so he does not have very much room. I would want others to know that it is a smaller community, so the one on one care seems to be better rather than if he was in a bigger facility. Even since COVID, they have a choice to eat in their room or the dining room since it is a smaller community which has been nice. Overall, I would recommend.

We chose this facility because of the location, the cost, as well as during the tour it seemed nice. He was in a semi room, and they were a good size. The food here was pretty good, he never complained. I would want people to know that they offer a nice area outside for the residents, but they never have the door open as they want someone out there with them to supervise. So the residents rarely get to sit outside unless you have a visitor. My brother was on the younger side, so they did not have a lot of activities for the younger crowd.

We chose this community because of the location. The room sizes here were spacious. My favorite part about this facility is the way the staff are connected to the residents, they are very caring and I feel comfortable having my mom there. I would recommend Impressions at Bryn Mawr

My mother is doing well here, but there has been a bit of an adjustment period. Overall it has been a good experience. They have really provided me with a peace of mind. I know she is safe and receiving great care. I would highly recommend this community.

My father in law has been in Impressions since October 2015. The staff is friendly, and very professional. I like being able to visit on my time and always feel welcomed. Many great activities to keep him involved to the best of his ability. The rooms are clean, bright and spacious. Knowing 'Dad' is there and under such great care allows us to go on with our jobs and know all is well. We are grateful!

A Place for Mom has scored Impressions at Bryn Mawr 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
