Cordia is a great place! My father lived there and loved it. Our only regret is that he did not move there sooner. We transferred him to Cordia from another facility. For people seeking the VA’s Aid and Attendance pension benefit, Cordia is the perfect choice. Other facilities (even very expensive ones) do not license every bed as assisted living, and therefore residents at those facilities don’t qualify for Aid and Attendance if they are in independent living. (Be very careful if you are applying for Aid and Attendance since there is a lot of misinformation given out by other facilities). Cordia’s caregivers are Cordia employees, not from an outside agency. When we asked various employees how long they’ve been at Cordia, we were impressed by their length of employment. Unlike some facilities, Cordia does not separate residents who require more assistance from those who don’t. Assisted living residents remain in their same unit and still be part of the Cordia community.

The director was very nice, knowledgeable and not aggressive. She and their admission manager came to my moms house for the evaluation for care. Made her feel very comfortable. The tour experience was good. Saw the actual apartment she chose.

My mom has now lived at Cordia for a year. My mom was living with me but she was bored and I was exhausted. She was very resistant to moving, but she is now loving her new life, the staff takes great care of her and she has new friends and things to do she enjoys. She loves the live music (every week) and the exercise classes. We are thrilled with Cordia!

We chose Cordia Senior Residence because I liked the longevity of the staff. A lot of them had been there a long time. Many of the other places that I I went it seemed like they had a lot of staff turnover. I thought the room and space was also very nice and updated. My only criticism would be that on the weekends they do have some temporary staff, so sometimes things aren't as smooth as they are during the week - but this is something that happens wherever you go. I would recommend Cordia to other families.

My mother has lived at Cordia for 4 years! My sisters and I are so glad we found this place. My mothers gets great care and they help to keep her active. She loves the Cordia choir-loves to sing and walks in the park alot. The staff is friendly and we always feel welcomed. Best of all, mom is happy!
I am so glad we found Cordia my parents are very happy. My mom gets great care which gives my dad free time to do things with the other men. They both love the meals. The staff is friendly and does a great job.
The staff is very kind and they do a good job to make sure everyone is involved. They encourage everyone to participate in the activities so they can get to know the other residence. I would recommend this facility to others.

We chose Cordia Senior Residence because of the location and it was a month by month payment rather than a big buy in. It has been working out very well and we are very pleased. They have various room sizes to choose from, she is in a one bedroom and it is fantastic for her. The first 6 weeks she was here we ate here quite a bit and the food was great, but since COVID they are on a 5 week menu plan so it gets a little repetitive. But the great thing is they have a special for the day as well as other options if she doesn't like what is being served. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.

This is a beautiful property. The units are on the small side, but well-maintained. My mom has a lovely view of the golf course that is adjacent to the property. The staff are competent, warm, and attentive. They seem truly invested in providing great support and establishing positive relationships with the residents. The residents are a very happy group, which I think says a lot about the quality of care they receive, and the overall living environment. The food is good, and nutritionally sound. There is no shortage of activities, and the activities staff is responsive to suggestions from the residents and their families.

I was contacted by [name removed] and she mailed me a brochure. They are too expensive and not closer to my son. She called back and I relayed my opinion.

Went on a tour here - Several current residents stopped and talked to me - telling me how great this place is. Seems like a lot is going on all the time, and my co-workers mom is here (did not know that when I started looking). She says the care is excellent. Very impressed. (Now if I can just convince my mom to move!)

Cordia Senior Residence has been a wonderful choice for my aunt. We are so happy with the level of care that they are providing for her. They are also working with us while we are in the process of selling the house to be able to stay here. The staff is very organized and the environment is very warm and welcoming. I have dined there with my aunt and the food is quite good. They have a resident Dr. and nurse on board so my aunt has switched Dr.s because she likes him and it is so convenient. They offer an assortment of activities in and outside of the community such as golf, casinos, and shopping. My aunt has a dog as her main activity and the other residents enjoy having him there too. The maintenance crew was amazing, they helped her hang things to make her place so it looks just like home and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

My father has recently moved into this community and I am hoping to get my mother there shortly too. The staff are very attentive to his needs and make sure he is comfortable in his new living environment. They have a great activity program available to him if he chooses to enjoy throughout the week. The only complaint he has so far is the meals. He thinks there could be better quality and more of a variety to choose from.

Visited the residence. its a nice place. Clean, bright, and everyone looked happy. It would seem a nice fit for my dad. Only problem is the cost, $5000 or so. Its possible, but would stretch us pretty thin.

The Cordia Senior Residence was nice but it was pretty far from we were looking. The place was also quite expensive compared to the other communities we were touring. Other than that, it was a nice clean place and everyone was very friendly.

Response from Cordia Senior Residence
July 17, 2017Thank you for letting us know about your concerns. I am not sure if you just visited or if you or someone you know lives here... I am so sorry that you did (do) not enjoy your meal here. Our chef takes great pride in the high quality food he prepares. Our residents continually let how much they enjoy what he creates. I would be happy to meet with you personally to address any concerns you have. Again, I apologize if one of our elevators was not working when you visited. I assure you, our elevators work properly and are well maintained. We have routine service done to our elevators to keep them in great working order, I am guessing that might be what was happening when you visited. If you would like to discuss this or any other concerns please don't hesitate to contact me at [removed].

A Place for Mom has scored Cordia Senior Residence 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
