I am not receiving care at Cogir of Queen Anne, I'm in independent living. I also have not signed up for any meal plans. Thus those items are not applicable for me . All else is very satisfactory. There are a variety of activities are offered each week, including music performances, nature walks and excursions.

November 29, 2023Hello, thank you for your 4-star review. Here at Cogir of Queen Anne we appreciate all feedback and our staff is happy to hear that you are enjoying our community and the activities we offer. If you should ever need anything please feel free to reach out to our friendly staff, thank you and have a lovely day.
I would have happily left 5 stars instead of 4. However when I was introduced to the building manager I was taken by surprise. She wore jeans with holes in the legs, and flip flops. Not even sure she combed her hair that morning. She paid very little attention to anything I had to say. Apparently her phone was of more importance than I was. She kept checking it and texted several times. She never made eye contact with me either. I had to repeat myself several times. I was increasing becoming angry. If it hadn't been for little gal that was doing the sales I would have walked out. She actually listened to what I said. She was very kind and helpful. I at least owed her the respect of finishing the meeting. i had already made my mind up to a No! They do have beautiful rooms, with beautiful views. I really was sold on moving in until I met the building manager.

October 17, 2023Hello James, our team does not consist of a female building manager or female tour guide, the contents of your review do not seem to match our community here at Cogir of Queen Anne. Please give us a call (206) 806-7432 at your earliest convenience to get in contact with our general manager Chris Sherrett, and he would be more than happy to talk to you as you search for the right community.
My mom lived here for 7 years. The last year has been awful. A lot of staff turnover, too many agency workers who don’t care, unresponsive manager & terrible. Facilities need updating inside & outside

October 7, 2023Hi Mary, thank you for your 4-star review. We are grateful for your feedback and are happy to hear that you are enjoying our community and staff. We are glad that you also enjoy our activities and that you are taking advantage of everything we have to offer. If you should need anything please reach out to our friendly staff and we hope you have a great day.
Every month, my partner and I run a trivia activity at Cogir Queen Anne. When we arrive, the activities director and the staff are always engaged with the residents. They stay and play trivia, each at a different team. It’s clear that they know these residents well and genuinely care about their well being. We always have a lot of laughs and it just feels warm. I have been impressed with how the new residents from Northgate have been welcomed by staff and residents. It’s a pleasure to work in this community!

May 30, 2023Hi Sue, thank you so much for leaving a review of our community! It warms our hearts to hear you've been enjoying everything we have to offer. Should you need anything at all please do not hesitate to reach out. Have a great day!
The organization and staff here are very effective in taking care of my basic needs as an older independent and doing it in a very friendly way. =Aside from basic needs, many different activities are provided by a highly capable and motivated activity director and staff. These activities include things done inside our residence building, and other activities done outside. Internal activities give a very varied mix of things to do, including presentations by visiting experts in various fields. =My favorite services are the outside bus trips which go to a wide variety of locations both near and far. Both scenic drives and walks are done, with targets including the mountains, the ocean coast, restaurants, museums, zoos, aquariums, entertainment, casinos and many others. =These activities provide positive effects of recreation, stopping feelings of confinement, learning your area, exercise, stress reduction and many others. The activities make me feel very comfortable and happy.

I moved into Cogir in Lower Queen Anne last fall. Previously I had lived in an apartment close by. I was shown several available apartments and chose one overlooking the garden. At my first meal at Cogir, I made friends with the interesting women who were my table mates. Within the first days I was pleasantly surprised by the activities offered at Cogir, particularly the daily exercise program as well as informative lectures, yoga and happily, Bingo! I was amazed that all employees had learned my first name, seemingly overnight! The waiters and waitresses are unfailingly pleasant, staff at the front desk are always helpful and the program staff are truly amazing! To my amazement, everyone has helped me feel truly at home here and I am beyond grateful!

Cogir at Queen Anne is always a great experience when I play music there. The staff always makes us feel like family and they are very good at getting everyone involved in the music. The smiles on the faces from the time I get there till the time I leave is assurance that we will always have a good time. I play music at several retirement centers in the Seattle area and it's always a good time coming to Cogir of Queen Anne. Very down to earth and a caring staff and a warm environment.

May 26, 2023Hey there Donna! It warms our hearts to hear you are enjoying many of our activities. We treasure the opportunities to create great experiences at our property. Thank you so much and have a great day!
This is my third residence, the first two in another city. This is the first residence that has an activity program. Inspection of the daily offerings reveals that there is something for everyone. The program allows us interact with other residents., making friends. There is a monthly meeting that allows us to request activities. I requested a Spanish refresher course because many of our aides speak Spanish; the class was taught by a native. Today I had my finger nails cut and I played Bingo. Activities allow us to visit museums, theaters, malls, restaurants and visitor attraction such as the zoo or take ferry rides to neighboring locals. Happy hour is truly remarkable with musical entertainment and snacks. We have presentations by local specialist in current events, trivia, art, music history to name a few. The offerings in exercise meet the needs of active adults and more physically impaired residents. The art activities and food preparation are especially enjoyable. There are special events like the baking of bread or the making of Mexican food treats. We have had chili contests; we voted for the best of three chilis. There are birthday luncheons and holiday preparations. There are special events; tomorrow there is indoor camping for a lunch treat.

The units are nice and staff nice. We were only there about five weeks, but things seemed unorganized and staff were under - trained. I think we're due a refund on unused time, but no reply to my query about three weeks ago.

May 26, 2023Hello, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are so sorry to hear that your experience was less than satisfactory. Our property actively looks for ways to improve our community, and we value your feedback. Please contact us as soon as possible and we can set up a time that best works for you schedule to discuss your experience.
There are many staff members of all types. Each one is willing to help with any need, or find someone who can. The housekeeping is good and friendly, the carpets could use a cleaning, though. The meals are good and healthy. I would recommend Cogir of Queen Anne, with these caveats: *In the Assisted Living building where my mom is, there are many infirm folks with varying disabilities. Your clients should be ready for this. *Right now, Cogir of Queen Anne has assimilated many residents from another Cogir which changed to Memory Care only. This has created a disruption, and many residents aren't happy about it.
