My loved one is a resident at Charter of Vinings. The staff is great! They are all welcoming and helpful each step of the way. I had a tight turnaround from selection of the facility to move in and they helped make the process easier. Communication with the family could be a little better. We had some minor issues getting some forms completed. would recommend Charter of Vinings because of its cleanliness, amazing staff and value. It's a great environment for your loved one to thrive!... Read more

The main reason we chose Charter of Vinings over other facilities that we looked into was because of the certified nursing professional that they have on their staff. The room sizes in memory care here are great! I would highly recommend Charter of Vinings to others. The staff cares so much about your loved ones.

My mother was a resident at Charter of Vinings. I think that the staffing and food could both be improved. The staff was friendly and most of them were helpful. The facility is out dated, but they are beginning a renovation. Overall, I would recommend this facility if this was near a family member.

I toured at Charter of Vinings and it was a nice place, but it was very "corporate feeling" and to me just felt fake. This was the main reason we did not choose Charter for my loved one.
Response from Charter of Vinings
May 5, 2023Hi, thank you for sharing your positive experience! Thank you again for the great review!
The sales girl was fabulous. I am overall happy with Charter, I think it is the best out of the ones that we looked into, but no facility is going to be great. There have just been some issues we have had. Some of the staff members are amazing, and some you can tell it is just a job for them. We have had to really stay on top of things which is disconcerting because it makes it impossible for us to relax - it is very frustrating. I would tell others just to advocate for your loved ones and make sure the line of communication is there. I would highly recommend putting a camera in your loved ones room. If there is something you do not like, then address it with them.

I toured this community and it went well. It's clean, staff is friendly, my visit was very good. It just wasn't the best choice for my loved one as far as her individual needs. But a great place!
The accessibility of the nurses on staff is something that really sticks out to me. They have 2 licensed nurses and I have 24 hour accessibility to them. I know that the activities director is very engaged, I just have not been there in person to see the activities myself which is the only reason I gave that category a 4. They are doing their best to overcome the short staffing situation. it has been an enjoyable experience for our family and I would definitely recommend Charter of Vinings to others.

From what I saw on our tour of Charter of Vinings, the people that work there were wonderful and seemed to really care about the residents. But the facility itself was really in need of some TLC. It was old and aging and hadn’t been maintained.
We chose The Social at the time because it was the best one for the cost at the time we were looking. I do think they need to have healthier options for the residents here. It is a small facility. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly, and the staff communicate with family well. It is a pretty nice facility, and things are going good here for us.

August 4, 2021Thank you so much for the review. We love what we do every day and are grateful for those older adults who call our community home. We appreciate the feedback on the dining options. We have an in-house chef who prepares a variety of nutritious and delicious meals for all different dietary needs that warm both the belly and soul. Please feel free to reach out to me directly so we can discuss additional options that would best suit your loved one. Thank you, Jodie Taylor Community President
The staff members in the kitchen are not that friendly, and sometimes they can be dismissive. The food is a C at best. The rooms they provide the residents are lovely, they would be a five out of five.

I would recommend that you make sure that your loved one is placed in the right program. If your loved one has memory care issues, I would recommend they go into the memory care unit. The memory care unit is more expensive. The food served had generous portions, along with cookies.

A Place for Mom has scored Charter of Vinings 8.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
