Castle Senior Living at Forest Hills

My father live at Castle. This place are amazing . I'm very thankful that I was able to place my dad there , staff are amazing ,food is good it's very clean place . He is able to get his therapy here . They have a lot of program for their residents . I love that my father can attended on Holly mass on place. The whole environment creates very home atmosphere. Thank you very much for everything!

The list of deplorable conditions is endless but let's start with BED BUGS, everywhere and move on to MOLD in the stairwell. From there you can go to NO activities for these seniors. They are left to sit around bored in a monotonous environment and no one cares. No professional company coming in for the infestation of bed bugs, no recreation director. Just collect resident's money and leave the conditions as they are. MOVE ON from this facility

Even after moving my loved one in, when I have follow ups or questions, everyone has been very responsive and helpful. They have many activities and they are fine. [name removed] would do 8 things a day if they offered it, and not everyone would want to. I would most definitely recommend Castle Senior Living at Forest Hills, we have been very happy with our experience.

Poor standards of Living. Castle living has held social security benefits from my mother. There has been no resolution and it has been 3 months. My mother was treated as an inmate who committed a crime. She was released with her belongings but not her funds. I would like to make anyone aware of placing their loved ones in this facility. Rude, disappointing care and staff unfortunately have not been properly trained to deal with Mental Illness. I would not recommend this facility and hope that Case managers in NY would do the same.

Overall we are happy with Castle Senior Living - now there is always room for improvement with everything. The place does feel clean when you walk in, there is always someone walking around cleaning up and they have daily house keeping. They do have a wellness center that is 24hrs so overall we made a good choice. The quality of care the staff members provide for the residents is top notch - they have been wonderful and have constant communication with. The prioritize the health and safety of the residents there.

I recommend this. They are very patient with seniors. I am totally happy to be here. The staff is amazing. They take very good care of the residents here. The activities are a great way to stay active and productive.

What sticks out the most about Castle Senior Living at Forest Hills is the people, they are all very friendly and helpful.

What we really like about Castle Senior Living is the care our loved one is receiving, every time we come to visit she is always clean, well dressed and overall seems happy. We do think they could improve on the activities, we think they could motivate them more to do things or have more stimulation.

Our family had an in person tour and we did have a loved one live there prior, and at the time it seemed good. When she passed some of the staff members even came to the funeral, but the facility itself is very dingy, dark, over crowded and old.

My virtual tour was fine, but after touring some other facilities in person, you just get a much better feel for a place in person. From what I could tell, Castle Senior Living at Forest Hills seemed very nice and very well kept. The rooms were very small though, so I was a little cautious about that considering my loved one was coming from a house.

[name removed] in Admissions was very helpful with the admission procedure and she was very knowledgeable about the Castle services and what Castle had to offer for my father's needs. I was very satisfied with her helpfulness.

It is a very nice facility. The staff was very friendly and they were always able to get answers for any questions I had. I would definitely recommend Castle Senior Living to all my friends and family.

I chose Castle Senior Living at Forest Hills because it looked like a comfortable place to live. The room sizes are nice, I have not been able to see my friends rooms because of COVID. I have heard the food is great. My favorite part about Castle is that it looks presentable and is comfortable and clean. I would recommend this community.

We chose Castle Senior Living at Forest Hills because of the location, my brother was very close as well as the price was in the range we needed. The room sizes are good. The food was average, they did have choices during dinner and if my dad didn't want to eat what they offered, they had a couple alternatives to provide. I would recommend this facility.

Despite the limitations imposed by COVID the staff were available under extraordinary circumstances. They did there absolutely best during this time. My mother was a reader so she did not really participate in the activities given. The quality of the food was good given the current circumstances. The community had a very inviting feeling, the residents here were the most outgoing. The first thing you saw when you walked in was a library, and sense my mother loved to read that was the first thing that caught our eye. They had plenty of seating areas for the residents to gather in. They were very good to my mother.

I see how much my loved one likes it at Castle Senior Living. It's such a loving place and the people are very nice.

When we first went there, there was a distinct odor, however visiting after that it was gone. Some of the staff is overly friendly and some are not so friendly. I do wish there was a little more care regarding what the residents should or should not be eating, rather than just choosing a menu. My mother does have some dietary restrictions and I think it would be beneficial for her to have more guidance. I know there are some activities. We do feel like Castle Senior Living is a good value for the price.

My friend [name removed], was my best friend. I visited her often and cared for her. She was quite very nice person. In recent years she was in a few different nursing homes until I transferred her to Castle Senior Living. Her new residency was extremely suitable for her, she was happy. The best place to be for her or anyone at the late age. The staff and everyone working there are extremely kind and caring. I'm sure she felt like a family member. I especially praise the Coordinator and Case Manger for her intellect, caring-loving heart for everyone. I visited her often and had coffee with her at lunch time. When she passed away, they honored [name removed] by being at her funeral. Many many thanks for all your sympathy cards. It means a lot to me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

One of the nurses, [name removed], has been so responsive from the very first contact. The entire staff has been more than accommodating with his needs. I would recommend Castle to anyone!
