Overall, our family has been very pleased with the care my father is getting in the skilled nursing facility. The high-level staff is very responsive and accommodating, from nursing to the social worker to the billing department. The day-to-day staff is very attentive, even when they come from temporary placements. A permanent activities manager for this level of care has been very helpful. As with any move, especially encompassing the level of care needed for my father, there were a few hiccups along the way. However, things were handled quickly and professionally and we never felt that my father's best interests weren't always at the top of everyone's agenda. The food is decent - no complaints from my father. The cost is higher than most facilities but we believe that the extra touches have been worth it.... Read more

My mom was in 3 different care facilities before coming to Brookdale. This place is so much better than the first 3.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a good tour experience
This was a good community and a little more expensive than we wanted.
Brookdale was so helpful with the moving process, and have really been good towards our loved one. We think our loved one is starting to like it there, she has made some friends with other ladies and she has almost became their care takers so we think she is finding her purpose again, and making her comfortable. Our only problem we are having right now is with the finances and insurance, but that should be getting straightened out here really soon.

Our virtual tour was great under the circumstances. Everyone was very nice and very personable. They answered all of our questions. They just don’t take pets, so we had to cross them off our list.
We chose Brookdale Pineburst because I thought it was cleaner than some of the others that I have seen. The room sizes are adequate for my loved ones needs, right now she does have a private room. I think the staff members here are very caring and they have been good with communication through covid and keep us updated with newsletters. I would recommend to others looking as long as you can afford it.

I think the communication is really lacking. I think they have had a lot of staff turnover. They have been though about two or three director in this last year. The communication had been pretty poor, but since then we have had email communication and meeting . For example, my mom would have a lot of falls and we not notified until we noticed bruises on her in facetime visits ourselves. She was put in a wheelchair and we were also never notified about this as well until we noticed it. I would not recommend this community at this time.

In searching for a facility to care for my wife I found Brookdale to be above the others interviewed in the areas of appearance, organization, location, the personnel that we dealt with and the overall operation. The staff members at PP continue to impress me with the genuine care and service provided to all patients. I have observed that right now there may be some areas understaffed because of recent transfers and turnovers. This hasn't seemed to present any problems yet!

Best move even for mom. She was at [removed] down the street and the move to Brookdale included more room to walk mom outside. Better care giver ratio. Food is way better, access to admin staff so easy and grateful to talk to. Nearly impossible at Sunrise. In other words, every aspect at Brookdale is better which also includes their help in all insurance aspects. Could go further please look at Brookdale it will make your mind up for you.

We love this community we don't live here so we communicate a lot over the phone and we feel like family with them. It was so welcoming when we first toured and the caregivers are amazing and helpful. They are very pleasant and address all our needs. It is very clean and tidy. The food is great and he gets meals 3x a day. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and lots of trees and nature. He can go for walks if he would like to. I would recommend this community.

This is a clean community with a nice enviroment.Thid community was further away for me to visit often, but very nice We do recommend this community for families to tour for the care of a loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Pinehurst Park 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
