Some 20 years ago, Parkplace hosted our AARP meetings. At that time I thought if I needed to go into a place this would be it. Now it was time and I'm not disappointed. Exceeds my expectations.

Brookdale Park Place works for us for a variety of reasons! My first job as a youngster was as a kitchen working on menu. Thus I know what could be provided for me and my wife. This residence exceeds that facility because it provides so many more amenities and individuals.

We are extremely pleased with the care and services being provided for our mother. The staff are very attentive and caring in their interactions with the residents and we know that she is safe. Even during the most difficulty days of COVID, the care and approach did not decline and safety of the residents was a priority. Communications about what is happening as well as any issues is always timely and honestly communicated.

Brookdale at home has made my life safer and easier. I have found the caregivers to be kind and caring and expensive. They are well trained and willing to help with whatever is needed.

It's hard to accurately judge everything. My brother and I were there in August, helping our mother move in, and I've not been back since (again, I live out of state). Much of what I gather is based on what our mother tells me over the phone and via Zoom. She often doesn't recall specifically what she ate for a meal or what activities she participated in, for instance.

My loved one lived in Independent Living for years. We chose PP because there were different levels of care that he could moved in to when the time care. The new director is not qualified for dealing with dementia, and she refused to allow him to move from Independent living in to memory care, when it was clear he needed it. She said he was "not a good fit for the community"-- He was very nice, and all his neighbors liked him and enjoyed it when he played the piano. He is not pliant, but it seems that the staff should know how to deal with people with dementia and memory problems. We had to move him to a new facility, which was very traumatic for him.

June 27, 2023We take your comments seriously and are committed to providing quality care and services to our residents and their families. Our management team has reviewed these concerns and we wish to assure you the safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority.
We toured Brookdale Parkplace when searching for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was great, it was in our top 3 choices of facilities after touring several. Ultimately, we decided suburban was better for our loved one.
It's a very nice facility. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We are very pleased with the staff. They have nice apartments, which include; Studios, one, and two bedrooms. They offer any amenity you could want. There is a restaurant-like setting or take-out.

The rooms are smaller but cost more. The views from the lower rooms aren't great. At Brookdale they didn't seem as involved with the residents. I think Brookdale would be better for slightly younger residents that want to be in the city. It has more of a country club vibe.
My mother has only been there a very short time - she has actually been in the hospital and now rehab, so our experience has only been a few short weeks. But it is a beautiful facility, and the dining and brunch options are wonderful. The staff is friendly, and I expect the nursing care to be good too.

They mis-diagnosed my loved one, they went missing at the facility, and wondered out into the streets. There is nothing good that I can say about this community, as far as the cleanliness, the food, and everything else. The food was trash and the service was gross. I would not recommend to other families.
