Entire community is responsive, kind, helpful and friendly. Variety of foods that meet dietary needs. Maintenance staff is responsive and quicks any issues. Brookdale at home is able to meet specific individual needs. Leadership team that addresses challenging issues and keeps residents informed.

Overall a great experience at a reasonable cost. Location is excellent. Some improvements needed in break fast menu and services. Really excellent laundry service and housekeeping. Friendly staff & family environment.

Warm, friendly, and welcoming place to recover from the hospital and chemotherapy. Staff is very helpful . There are interesting programs and movies running every evening. There is also reliable connection to the internet.

Brookdale Lakeview has a full array of services and activities available to its residents under one roof, for which I’m grateful, but the thing that impressed me the most when I moved in (and still does to this day) is the friendly atmosphere. Both staff members and fellow residents have been caring and kind to me during my years here, making this a place I’m happy to call home.

The entire staff at Brookdale Lake View has been there for me from my move- in day to today. I love their quick response in taking care of maintenance issues in my apartment, and being open to suggestions for resident activities and outings. The location in Chicago is perfect if you enjoy Lake Michigan, access to public transportation, and a neighborhood that is very walkable.

I moved into Brookdale towards the end of the covid pandemic when we were in lockdown. Brookdale did much to keep us engaged and when it was finally over they have continued to do so. I have security here. There is always help if I need it. There are a variety of activities in which we may participate. I can be as busy as I want to be. If I don’t want to be that’s okay also. The food is quite good. The place is well cared for. I am very happy I made the decision to live here

Brookdale Lake View is near my daughter and son-in-law who visit when they can. Food is more than adequate. I have met other residents through lunch and made friends with people here. I feel safe and secure at Brookdale Lake View and the staff tries to accommodate all needs.

I thought this was going to be a bunch of old people sitting around, not talking and thought it would look and smell like an old person’s home. To my pleasant surprise it is a lively community filled with active residents with lives of their own.

Brookdale has all kinds of services under one roof- activities, dining, medical and other care services- but what impressed me the most and still does, is the friendly atmosphere both among the staff and residents. There's little to no 'cliquey-ness' that I can see. Most people you meet are happy to give you a smile and a helping hand if you need it.

The Lakeview, Chicago community provides a warm and caring environment for it's residents. A wide range of classes and activities are available to help build enjoyable friendships between residents. Outside activities are planned to attend concerts, plays, sporting events, and church services. The facility is clean and well kept by the friendly and capable staff. Meals are well planned and prepared with extensive menu and wide variety of foods.

I've lived at Brookdale Lake View for 19 years, and I like it very much. The residents are very friendly and so is the staff. Bingo is my favorite activity, and being at Brookdale has exposed me to new foods, which I really enjoy.

My experience at Brookdale has been very good. The staff is great. They remember your name from the first day. You're never completely alone unless you want to be. The activities are varied and interesting. There is something for everyone. Some educational and some just fun.

We are very thankful to Brookdale Lake View for caring for my mom over the last year. She complains from time to time, but overall everyone we have met and communicated with has been caring and engaged despite experiencing staffing shortages and Covid impacts etc. Everyone has been incredibly empathetic and responsive. My mom is doing so much better since being there.

At first I was interested in a seniors apartment building, not a community. Upon investigating Brookdale, I decided it offered all I was looking for and more. I'm one of the independent living residents. While still self-sufficient in most ways, I enjoy all of the helpful resources and comforts here.
