They charge for nursing care as it is used so this saves you money if you don't use it but it gets expensive quickly if you do. They aren't flexible on their meal plan. It is 3 meals a day or ala cart. They charge the same if you only order a half meal, but they do let you take any leftovers. It is free if you bring your own container, there is a fee if they give you a container. The staff was very nice and friendly. The facility was clean and didn't smell. Communicate your loved one's needs. They a good listeners and adjust quickly. Example, Bingo is a simple activity which was scheduled only once a month. After I brought it up, I see that it's on the schedule once a week now. Also, the food is great! Initially my loved one wanted to cook her own food which was getting very difficult for her. I'm glad they encouraged eating in their dinning room for the social aspect. It is now part of her daily routine and she looks forward to the delicious food....and the friendly serving staff!

My loved one is currently a resident at Brightondale Senior Campus and everything has been great for her at this facility so far. The move in process was good. Everyone here is very, very nice. The food is great, it is served restaurant style. They provide light housekeeping. The staff is great and they all know my loved one's name. I would recommend Brightondale Senior Campus to others.

I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
It seemed like more of a room, than an apartment type of feel. It was okay but not a good fit for my loved one.
I toured Brightondale Senior Campus and I was very impressed, it was a nice community. They made the top of my list, but I chose another community because Brightondale's building was old and needed some repairs. Also, one of the administrative members made an unprofessional comment; she stated that she was going to try and convince me to move into the assisted living side instead of independent.
I didn’t care much for Brightondale Senior Campus at all. The facility seemed really dark.
Brightondale did not seem as up to date as some of the other facilities that I checked out. There was nothing wrong, it was just that the atmosphere was not the right fit for my loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and for some reason we just did not get the feeling this was the right place. I liked it more then some of my other family members.
The staff is very helpful and friendly and know everyone's name. My loved one has made lots of new friends. They have lots of events and activities available. The community is in a great location within walking distance of shopping, a church, restaurants, and pharmacy service. I would recommend this community to others.

I love the staff. They're very friendly and helpful, and they know the residents by first name. They get to know everyone face to face, which is nice. I have a couple of the nurses on speed dial. They call me once a week and ask if I want to schedule a haircut, or let me know my friend needs this or that. They keep me very informed about what's going on. They run a pretty tight ship!

We chose Brightondale based off of the convenient location. When I presented the options to my uncle this is the one because he had comfort being in a familiar area. The apartment sizes are plenty adequate for his needs. They communicate well and update me whenever needed. When I have raised questions myself, they respond quickly. I would recommend.

We chose Brightondale at the time because the lady that was helping me with everything was very friendly and accommodating, more so than the others. My mom has a smaller apartment and it is quite nice, it is a great size for her. I have talked to other residents there as well and they rave about their apartments. It also looks like they have great activities provided for the residents, we just haven't been able to experience all of it yet. I would tell others to make sure to check into the nursing side. They have Life Stark for nursing and it is expensive, so make sure just to check into that and determine how much care your loved one needs and be diligent about watching the charges. Overall it is a great place and I would recommend.

We chose Brightondale Senior Campus because when we toured the facility, it just felt like home for my mom. The room sizes here are very good and spacious. She has a bigger living room and bedroom than at her previous house. She says the food is hit or miss, depending on who is cooking that day. The best part about the community is that the staff really seems to care about their residents. It is overall a nice place and a perfect fit for her.

My loved one has already had friends ask me about this community. I let them know that it was a wonderful place for my loved one, and it is a great fit. The dining room is back open. Some of the activities include bus rides, tours of old mansions in the city, exercise class, bingo, concerts, the word thing, debate, movies, and more activities are offered for the residents. They did outdoor visits during the summer by appointment with your loved one. There was a staff member to assist with visits.

My mom was in memory care. The food was not good and was served cold. It was better when she was in Assisted Living. The rooms were very nice. The staff was helpful, some were better than others. The nursing staff was great. They have a music room with a piano and offered religious services which was important to us.

Easy to find, visitor parking space small but lots next door. I was very impressed with the personnel that I met. They were genuine, caring and kind to me and to the residents that I saw. I was very glad to see that there are some care facility corporations that aren't too big to remember their mission to care for individuals. I saw a few residents, one of whom gave an unsolicited great endorsement for the community. The atmosphere/ambience of Brightondale is somewhat subdued but comfortable. I am taking my friend along to another visit to find out if he is as interested in living here as I felt he would be. I would definitely recommend Brightondale as a good place to consider first. They have staff that have remained loyal for years and that is saying something very good about this employer in this day and age of rapid staff turnaround.

A Place for Mom has scored Brightondale Senior Campus 8.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
