My son looked all over for a place for me. I am 68 and he found this lovely place I now call home. I needed full-time care at the time I arrived the care staff was so helpful; the care team was prompt to respond to my pendant. Instead of moving back home, I decided to stay and enjoy all the activities this place has to offer; movies, exercise classes, and getting my nails done. I have made so many friends here, and the food is amazing, this place is as sweet as the dessert we get here.

My friend Bobby lives here. It's been almost a year now. I come to see him almost every day, with my dog Lex. I've meet everyone here, many times. I should be better at remembering everyones name. Oddly, I look forward to coming to Atria. I'm greeted at the door, daily, by the kindest people. There's rules here, so Lex and I have to maintain order. After signing in at the Reception Desk, I head to Bobby's room. I pass a number of staff members going about their duties, they all great me with a smile, often giving me updates about Bobby. Bobby's room is awesome. Clean, lots of closet space and a large bathroom. He loves it. We go off property a lot. We sign out when we leave, when we return we sign in...rules!! I'm impressed with the amount of activities available on a daily bases to keep him active. Bobby loves to eat. He is in heaven here. Many healthy options at every meal. Bobby was at another facility before he moved here. It closed. Thank God!!!

My sister-in-law, who had a cognitive disorder since birth, has lived at Atria Pacific Palisades since 2018. The staff at Atria goes out of their way to make her feel wanted. They are constantly engaging her and because she does not know she was born with the disorder and thinks she is normal, they do their best to make her feel like she is living a very independent life. At the same time, they work with my husband and I to make sure she gets the best care.

Atria in the Palisades is such a special place for your loved ones who need an assisted living setting. The staff is amazing. They are warm, caring, friendly, respectful and very professional. There are daily activities to both stimulate and entertain the residents. Exercise classes, art, word challenges, music, and outings are just several of the activities offered, Everyone is encouraged to participate. The physical setting of Atria is very manageable and the apartments are very nice. The dining room allows the residents to socialize while enjoying great menu choices for every meal. The food is delicious and the kitchen staff is regularly meeting with residents for feedback about the food and any changes they would like, i highly recommend Atria. i have personally seen improvement in my loved one's memory and overall functioning since living here. It appears to be a great place to live and visit!

We looked at many places before settling at Atria Pacific Palisades for our mom. The facility is clean and welcoming, the staff is above and beyond, and the activities and programming are amazing! They fill the days for the residents with lots of fun activities, musical performances and field trips. It really is a wonderful place for your loved one! We highly recommend!

We are so very grateful to Atria Park for the care and attention we are receiving. If you are looking for a new home for your loved one, look no further. Call Atria Park today :)

If I could give negative stars I would. My father was in memory care at this facility for two years before we had to move him. I made so many complaints to both the facility and to DSS, Ombudsman. Please do your due diligence and speak with family members of residents and caretakers before making any decisions about being in this community. Here is a list of issues our family had with Atria: Rate increases in excess of 12% each year! Understaffed in memory care (residents left alone wandering into the kitchen getting themselves hot coffee...) Miss medications (residents did not receive their medications for a couple of days) Pressure ulcers Bug issues in the room No nurse in the facility for months! Discouraged forming a family council Did not respect my father's vegetarian diet and continually gave him meat. The facility is beautiful but they do not walk the talk in memory care! I can go on and on about how awful this place is... Be aware!!! Lisa Turcillo

Response from Atria Park of Pacific Palisades
December 12, 2022Hi Lisa, Thank you for sharing your concerns. Please know that our rate adjustments are based on many factors, including the increased cost of goods and service and inflation. I have shared your comments with our Regional Vice President and Executive Director. If you'd like to personally speak further, please don't hesitate to contact us at customerservice@atriaseniorliving.com.
I visited Atria Park of Pacific Palisades for my mother; they have a warm and friendly staff. I couldn't believe how long some of their staff have worked here. It shows that it must be a wonderful place to work. I am currently in the process of getting my mom moved into their memory care and my sister and I feel so happy with our decision.

We moved our mom to Atria in the Pacific Palisades almost three years ago. We moved right during the pandemic and they couldn’t have been more caring or sensitive to what our loved ones were going through during this difficult time of lockdown! Now the facility as opened up and it’s an even more wonderful place to be! [name removed], the activities director, is amazing! She puts so much care and attention to the activities and there is always so much going on - from outings to live music to exercise and game playing. They even have theme days that are super fun! All the staff is wonderful too. I feel like my mom is in a great place and we are so happy she made the move to Atria Pacific Palisades!

When I visited this community everyone was so friendly and warm. It's a great size so it really has a family feel. You can tell the residents and staff have a great relationship. Moving our loved one into senior living was very stressful but the staff made it so smooth. They supported us through the entire process. They are located right in the heart of the Palisades so we are able to take our loved one into the village for lunch. We couldn't have picked a better place for our mother.

Our Aunt has called Atria Park of Pacific Palisades her home now for 1 ½ years. This has been a safe and happy place for her, making her feel very comfortable and cared for. She likes knowing that there is the caring staff right there if she needs them while having her own private apartment when she likes to be on her own. We feel so secure knowing that she is safe and has a staff that truly cares about her. She is on the Life Guidance floor which is the Memory Care floor. While she has short-term memory loss due to dementia, our Aunt is very aware of her surroundings and all that goes on in her world. She only has the nicest things to say about all of the staff. She tells us that each one of them is "her favorite"! The staff really does care about the residents. They find out what is important to each person and celebrates that with them. Our Aunt was quite the dancer in her day and loves music. It's not unusual to find her having a dance-off with one of the staffers! People with deme

This community was fine but there was another community that just made more sense for my loved one.
I thought it was wonderful - the beautiful accommodations, cleanliness, friendly staff - everything about it just seemed perfect. But care levels would be adjusted often, which would increase the cost. And I was hesitant about that.
We chose Atria because of the location as well as it was recommended by a few family friends and her doctor actually recommended it as well. They are just starting up with their activities again. The director has been absolutely wonderful, we have a lot of contact with her. She moved in right before the pandemic so we have not been inside the facility. They are allowing visitors but it is all outdoors on a patio or we can take out loved ones out. I would recommend to others looking.

My mom lived here in Assisted Living and for a while it was great but her disease progressed quickly. The Memory Care floor was depressing although they had great activities and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. There are also no private rooms in Memory Care which was not an option for us and too expensive. I liked the Director. He knew what he was doing and was extremely knowledgeable.

We really liked this community. We would have moved our loved one in except they are currently replacing the elevator and we did not think they would be comfortable using a chair lift. The staff are great and they offer daily activities. The food is excellent and the community is clean. I would recommend this community.

This place is an extremely unethical and an unprofessional facility. There are a few good people on staff however the management and the majority of the workers there are terrible! At best they are just negligent. My father moved into atria with a diagnosis of brain cancer. The staff at atria were fully aware of his medical condition and we hired our own amazing nurses and caretakers to care for him. The staff at atria were not only unhelpful but actually rude and incompetent in caring or assisting in caring for my dad. They threatened several times to kick my father out of the facility and also threatened to increase the charge of his care. It's ironic since we hired our own staff to "care" for him. Not only did i have to watch my father deteriorate but also I had to suffer by watching how negligent the staff was in caring for the other residents at the facility. I witnessed the caretakers chatting with each other as the residents were in precarious positions literally bumping into each other at times or being parked at the television for hours on end. The management were so incredibly unempathic and cold. The bottom line is that atria is solely concerned about money and not the care of the residents nor the feelings of the residents family. I think that what ever board is set up to grant certifications of assisted living situations should investigate atria. If your relative lives there go and do a surprise visit.
